A mixed route sounds simple: unload a truck in the yard, carry pallets through a doorway, then place them inside a warehouse. But asking whether an LPG forklift can do both jobs is really four buyer questions: Is indoor operation acceptable under the site's ventilation and safety rules? Does the truck fit the narrowest turn and doorway with the actual load? Can fuel be supplied and changed without disrupting the shift? And does the measured cost per completed task compare well with the alternatives? LPG can be a useful option for mixed work, but the fuel label alone does not certify a particular building, route or duty cycle.

Start by mapping the route rather than counting only indoor and outdoor hours. Record each segment: loading dock, open yard, covered transfer area, doorway, aisle, rack approach and charging or refuelling stop. Note ventilation, door positions, slope, floor joints, surface condition, pedestrian crossings, turning space and any restricted or classified location. An internal-combustion truck produces exhaust, so an enclosed area needs an appropriate ventilation and exposure assessment. As a U.S. example, OSHA says combustion-engine forklifts should not operate inside a warehouse or plant without adequate ventilation; local rules and the site's risk assessment govern elsewhere. Do not treat an open door or a short indoor leg as proof of safe air quality.

Next, match the load to the capacity plate, not the headline tonnage. The CPC35 product page lists 3,500 kg rated capacity at a 500 mm load center, a 4,780 kg unladen weight, a 2,450 mm minimum turning radius and a 3,000 mm standard lift. Load length, attachment, mast, residual capacity and load center can change the usable capacity; confirm the exact plate and mast chart for the quoted unit. Measure the narrowest doorway and turning pocket with the actual attachment installed, and check rack height, clearances and floor loading. A catalogue figure is a starting point, not authorization to lift every 3.5-ton load in every configuration.

Treat fuel logistics as part of the route design. The CPC35 is listed as LPG/gasoline dual fuel, with Guangqing or Nissan engine options shown for the series. Ask which engine and fuel hardware are included in the offered configuration and destination-market specification. Then document where approved cylinders are stored, who is trained and authorized to change them, how full and empty cylinders are separated, and how a replacement reaches the forklift during a busy shift. Verify local storage, transport, fire-protection and cylinder-handling rules with the competent authority and supplier. Do not improvise connections, refill methods or cylinder changes from a general article; follow the machine manual and the approved site procedure.

Build a fair shift-cost comparison from observed data. For the LPG truck, measure fuel consumed over representative shifts and multiply by the delivered local fuel price; add cylinder rental or exchange fees, handling labor, scheduled service, downtime and any ventilation cost attributable to the operation. For an electric alternative, record metered charging energy, tariff, charger losses if measured, battery replacement or lease allowance, charging labor and time unavailable. Keep the same payload, route, operating hours and productivity target in both comparisons. Avoid comparing a supplier's best-case consumption claim with a site's average electricity bill. A two-week log across normal and peak days is more useful than a generic cost-per-hour estimate.

The route can be divided into operating zones. A truck may perform outdoor loading and short transfers under one set of controls, while indoor work may require stricter ventilation monitoring, operating limits or a different power source. If a building has poor air movement, long engine idling, trailer interiors, food or pharmaceutical requirements, or a hazardous-area classification, pause the selection and obtain specialist review. A standard LPG forklift is not automatically approved for an explosive atmosphere. OSHA's powered industrial truck rules distinguish truck designations and classified locations; the buyer must confirm the applicable jurisdiction, equipment designation and site classification before entry. Never use fuel flexibility to bypass an exclusion or ventilation control.

Before placing an order, send the supplier a route sketch and load list. Include maximum load weight and dimensions, load center, attachment, mast height, doorway width, tightest turn, indoor dwell time, ventilation details, shift pattern, floor conditions, fuel availability and destination country. Ask for the capacity plate, load chart, turning and overall dimensions, engine/fuel specification, emissions documents required locally, cylinder arrangement, service schedule and written confirmation of included options. Ask what is not included too. For the CPC35, published data are a reference; the purchase specification should identify the actual engine, mast, tyres, attachments and any site-specific conditions agreed by both parties.

Shandong Zhuogong Machinery equipment Co.,Ltd can help compare the CPC35 with a mixed indoor-outdoor material-handling plan without assuming that every indoor site is suitable for LPG. Share your route, load profile, shift data and ventilation information, then request a written configuration proposal. For a useful first estimate, send fuel and electricity prices together with daily operating hours; the comparison can then be based on your own workload rather than an unsupported universal saving.
