Can Your Floor Support an Electric Scissor Lift? Buyer Questions Before Ordering

Can Your Floor Support an Electric Scissor Lift? Buyer Questions Before Ordering — ZGFORKLIFT / MYZG. Shandong Zhuogong Machinery equipment Co.,Ltd

An electric scissor lift may fit through a doorway and reach the required work area, yet those two facts do not establish whether the floor can support it. Before ordering a ZGFORKLIFT / MYZG platform such as the ZG-ZX14, bring the machine information and the building information together. This buyer checklist helps prepare that discussion; it is not a structural assessment or authorization to operate. No floor capacity or wheel load is assumed here. The images are illustrative scenes with a stowed platform, not proof that a particular building or upper floor has been approved for the equipment.

Identify which floor the lift will actually cross and where it will work. A ground-level slab, a suspended floor above a basement and a temporary access surface are not interchangeable descriptions. Ask the person responsible for the premises for the available drawings, loading restrictions and any known changes or damage. Include the route from the unloading point, not only the final work position. A machine may need to cross thresholds, covers or areas over services before reaching the job. Record uncertainties clearly so the responsible professional can decide what further information is required.

review the ZG-ZX14 product

Request the exact machine configuration and its relevant loading data from the supplier. Machine weight, maximum wheel load, tire contact pressure and an average floor pressure are different quantities; do not treat one as a universal substitute for another. Genie publishes floor-loading information separately for its machines, illustrating why the type of data matters, but its figures must not be applied to a MYZG product. Ask which figures and units apply to the quoted configuration and operating conditions. Platform payload is not the same as the complete machine load transmitted to the floor.

compare aerial platform options

Send the information to the building owner or other responsible site professional for review. IPAF guidance on ground conditions specifically discusses checking suspended floors against machine loading. That guidance is not an approval of this site or model. If structural suitability is unclear, obtain assessment by an appropriately qualified professional before access. Do not divide total machine weight by four and use the result as a certified maximum wheel load. Likewise, a general building load statement may not answer the question of a localized wheel force at a particular position.

Describe the intended job as well as the parked machine. Provide the planned platform load, work location, route and any equipment options so the supplier can identify applicable data and instructions. Do not assume that a figure for one configuration automatically covers another. Ask about the permitted surface and operating conditions and ensure the site assessment uses the relevant information. A photograph of a similar lift working inside another building is not engineering evidence for your premises. If information is missing, keep the selection provisional instead of treating a quotation as permission to proceed.

confirm the quoted ZG-ZX14 configuration

Separate protection of a floor finish from support of the machine. Non-marking tires do not by themselves demonstrate that a floor has adequate structural capacity or that a delicate finish will remain undamaged. Explain any finish restrictions to the supplier and site team. Do not improvise sheets, mats or bridging arrangements as a way to make an uncertain floor acceptable. Any proposed protective or load-spreading arrangement needs to be assessed for the machine and site, including whether it changes traction, level or access. A neat-looking surface can still require investigation below it.

discuss platform selection for the site

Before delivery, agree a documented access route and the person responsible for releasing it for use. Keep relevant loading information with the machine documentation and communicate restrictions to the trained operators and other affected people. Review the plan if the machine specification, work position or surface condition changes. Do not drive onto an uncertain area to test whether it holds, and do not use an elevated platform as a trial of floor strength. If a cover, crack, void or other concern is discovered, stop and refer it to the responsible site team rather than relying on the appearance of the rest of the floor.

A useful enquiry includes the intended task, required height, exact access route, floor type, available loading documents and the platform configuration being considered. Ask the supplier to provide the missing machine data and the site team to confirm the conditions under which access can be accepted. Browse the ZG-ZX14 and aerial platform pages to discuss product options, without treating them as a floor approval. Contact Shandong Zhuogong Machinery equipment Co.,Ltd about ZGFORKLIFT / MYZG equipment. Agree both equipment suitability and site acceptance before arranging deployment; a clear division of responsibilities is part of a practical purchase.
