The U-turn And Reversing Precautions And Operating Methods For Forklift

When the forklift running within the enterprise. Due to the short running distance, they have to make a lot of U-turns and reverses. When the forklift is turning around and reversing, the driver's vision will be restricted to a certain extent. Therefore, limited vision, poor observation and other reasons lead to more accidents when the forklift turns around or reverses. For this reason, the following precautions should be taken when turning around and reversing the forklift.

1. When making a U-turn, the forklift accessories should try to choose a wide road or venue to make a U-turn, and make a U-turn from right to left. When making a U-turn, should observe the situation in front, rear, left, and right in advance, send a U-turn signal in time, and make a U-turn without affecting the movement of other forklift. If you cannot adjust it at once and you need to reverse the car, you must carefully observe the situation behind the car, control the speed appropriately, and sound the horn to signal.

2. When reversing in workshops, warehouses, cargo yards, narrow roads, etc., there should be a dedicated person standing behind the forklift (a position where the driver can easily find it) to direct the reversing. When reversing a forklift, must not only pay attention to the rear of the forklift, but also take into account the position of the front wheels to prevent the front parts of the forklift from hitting obstacles. Forklifts are not allowed to reverse at intersections, bridges, tunnels, steep slopes and dangerous areas.

3. During forklift operation and loading and unloading operations, it is necessary to reverse the truck frequently. Due to the restricted vision when reversing, you can feel that your ability is weakened. Therefore, it is difficult to control the direction and position of the forklift in reverse. In addition, when reversing the forklift, the original front-wheel steering becomes rear-wheel steering, and the original rear-wheel steering of the forklift becomes front-wheel steering. This is different from the subjective feeling of usually controlling steering, and the position of controlling steering also changes, which makes reverse is not as smooth, convenient, flexible and accurate as forward.

Usually when reversing, you should first stop the forklift, see the surrounding situation clearly, select the reversing route and target, and pay attention to whether there are oncoming forklift, pedestrians, or animals in front or behind. If there may be obstacles on the way of reversing, the driver should get out of the car to check if necessary. Then, as the situation requires, put the transmission in the appropriate gear for reverse, sound the horn, and adopt appropriate driving postures and operating methods. When reversing, you should pay attention to control the speed of the forklift, and do not go fast and slow to prevent the starter from being weak and stalling, or reversing too hard and causing harm.
